"Tentoura Kastro" is the exclusive liqueur of Patras, Greece. According to the tradition, its origins date back to the 15th century, during the Venetian Era.

The old - time people of Patras used to refer to Tentoura as moshovolithra (fragnant, sweet-smelling) due to her intense aroma. It owes its taste, aroma and colour, to spice extracts, especially cinammon and clove, but also nutmeg, citron e.t.c.

Tentoura is usually drunk after a good meal, as a digestive liqueur.
