It all began in the Belgian city of Leuven.
The city’s tax record, dated 1366, mention the existence of a local brewery called ‘Den Hoorn’.
One still sees evidence of this heritage today with the horn emblem into the Stella Artois logo.
In 1717, master brewer Sebastian Artois purchased the brewery and changed its name to Artois.
However, the beer’s final appellation didn’t arrive until Christmas 1926 when the brewers devised a special holiday beer with a bright colour.
Christened ‘Stella’ for ‘star’, the beer was so well receive that it became available all year round.
Stella Artois is a brand of supreme worth and quality.
With an unequalled beer taste with a slightly pronounced bitterness, preciously poured and presented.
Stella Artois is still brewed using natural ingredients in the same processes of mixing and fermentation used in the old days.
